September 19 Author Anita Wills on book TV
Author Anita Wills presentation of her book, Notes And Documents of Free Persons of Color, will be aired on History on Book TV, On Saturday, September 17th, at 12:00 pm and Monday, September 19th, at 2:00 am (EST).

The book is a well researched and documented, chronicle of a group labled, Free Persons of Color, in Colonial Virginia. The group resided were made up of free blacks and escaped slaves from Maryland and Virginia. They formed communites in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New Jersey, which bordered Southern States.

The segment was filmed on August 11, 2005, at the Central Rappahannock Library in Fredericksburg Virginia.

Notes And Documents of Free Persons of Color, is African American History, 292 pages, with appendix, index, and endnotes. It is a chronicle of Ms. Wills, ancestors, who were labled, Free Persons of Color, by the Virginia Free Negro Registry. Portions of the book are being considered for a feature film. The book is available through, Barnes & Noble, and Border Books.
