Gen. Cullen A. Battle of Tuskegee, raised a company of volunteers and joined the Third Alabama Regment of which Tennant Lomax became colonel and Battle lieutenant colonel.
I have a copy of the Joint Resolution of Thanks By Confederate Congress (Approved February 6th, 1864) to this brigade praising them for their continuation to the efforts of the Confederate Forces. I thought you might like to feature this on your site. As you know, Cullen A. Battle became Brig. General.
