I love what I see at Rootsweb. I have a question, please, for anyone who is familiar with Pike County cemeteries (which I admit I am not). I have some relatives buried in the Old Canaan Cemetery, which is on Pike County Rd 55 (a dirt road ?), off Highway 223 near Banks. It's supposed to be just a few yards down that dirt road. I know Old Canaan is close to Sandfield, I found Sandfield with no trouble, but . . . . . when I turned off onto the dirt road that I was told was Pike CR 55, I couldn't see any evidence of a cemetery. Could someone tell me, please, if Pike CR 55 has a road marker on it, or if the road number has been changed? I feel foolish in asking this, as I've tried to find Old Canaan twice recently. Thank you very much.

I have been delighted with the queries and responses I have found on Rootsweb. I am sorry there wasn't a page running for Laurens or Pike Co., Alabama. Mary

A friend recommended the sight. I'm still searching around. But so far I like what I see.
