Can anyone tell me the head of household #785 in the 1850 Tallapoosa census. There is an Emaline Griffin with two Smith sons. The name appears to be Sessions but, I'm not sure. I'm trying to connect her to the James Griffin living in the next household. Thanks

What I'd like to see -
Once I've gotten to http://resources.rootsweb.com/USA/AL/Tallapoosa/
I'd like to be able to search for a surname
**in Tallapoosa County records only** That means I'm not
interested in the Henry County censuses or Marengo county
cemeteries.
Why is this not possible?
What happens is that I get several hundreds of hits,
including all that stuff I'm not interested in. As my
mothr used to say "that's too much sugar for a dime."
It would take me hours to go thru all those hits that I'm
not interested in to find the few that I might be, and
there is no facility to narrow the search. Surely you can
restrict the search engine to the records for the county
of the web page the request comes from? If I wanted to search
all of Alabama, I'd have searched from the state page.
Regards,
Marie
