Bumping into "Ancestry.com" ( data for a fee - and not a small fee) constantly is a real irritation. They have certainly done a job on corraling data that used to be available to everyone.
I recommend your site often. Again, my thanks to you for what you have so far kept available on-line --free.

Super site. Looking for Phineas Ames originally from Maine, settled in Oregon in mid 1800s. Last found in 1880 census but know he lived longer as there are sons born in 1880s.
