To Whom it may concern:
Am trying to trace genology records for the names of Dearrington and Key. How does one start from scratch tracing ones roots and keeping in mind that let's say the search will be confined and dependent on and from the home computer. Can you give me some advice and direction here. I need the help. I know nothing about my grandfather George Dearrington or my grandmother Gertrude Marie Key (man & wife)now deceased and buried in Madison,county Arkansas. This seemed like a good place to ask, maybe there is someone out there will have pity on me and respond accordingly, at least I hope so.

What do you expect for a posting to the Pensions board?
My grandfather, Robert Henry George's Civil War pension
records are about a pound of paper so I don't think I would
want to send to whole thing in.
