I am searching for my great-great-great grandfather Lewis Betz. His father's name was Christian Betz, do not know his
mother's name.
My ggggrandfather Lewis was born in Ohio sometime between
1810-1820, he moved to Illinois sometime between 1840-1855
as I find Lewis Betz and Catherine Woods in the Illionis Statewide Index for a marriage license on 6/28/1856.
Other than that I can find nothing on him, I'm begining to
think that Lewis may have been his middle name.
