I am researching the Bourne Family from Amherst County Virginia. As with all Bourne's the male's all have the common name found with the Bourne's, William, John, Henry,and Thomas etc. The one female I found very interesting was a lady named Pheobe Bourne (Carter), I found a letter she wrote to her sister Elizebeth (Rucker)written in 1840. Pheobe mentions several family members that I have found in other research to be my decendents.

I like it but I have a problem with my surname, my famly and others spell it as Studyvin and I know that that is not the ONLY way to spell it. My main concern its that my lineage is from the South and I was one of the first to discover it.

I am trying to locate one of the lovliest human beings I have ever met. She is BETSY ANN BOURNE, and was born about 1945, I think in Mass. She attended Brown Univ. from 1963-65. The school has lost track of her and she seems to have vanished from the face of the earth. She was married to JOHN A. MEIER in the 1970's. Any info., no matter how trivial, will be deeply appreciated. Than you.
