I am looking for information concerning Mary Crosman Brainard. Most of the men in our family have "Crosman" as their middle name and it seems, no one left today in the family seems to know why Crosman was held in such high regard in our family to adopt it as the middle name of most of the men. My father, Edward Crosman Brainard Sr. was born in Burghill, Ohio. His parents, George C. and Grace Weir Brainard. Any help appreciated.
