My Great, Great Grandfather was named George Daniel Stanley. He was adopted in England by the Brennan's in the Mid 1800s. He came to America as a young man in the 1870s and settled in Sandusky, Ohio. He married Dutton from Cleveland, Ohio. Marriage License states name as George Daniel Brennan. Do you have any ideas where I could look for Adoption documentation from the mid 1800s or ship documentation of immigrants at these times? We are really stuck on gaining more about him.
