Thanks for the info here is more that connects to John Cooksey and Mary Reed. Samuel Cooksey was my 8th great grandfather on my fathers side.My fathers name was Stanley Harold .Adams,he was born 3- 3,1903 in Oklahoma.His father was William David Adams,born 6-11-1866 in Hamilton Co. Iowa.The list continues back through Joseph Adams,Jesse Adams to Edmund Adams who married Elizabeth Cooksey the daughter of John Baptist Cooksey and Mary Strait.John Baptist's father was John Cooksey who was married to Mary Reed.His father was Samuel Cooksey and his mother Christian Tennison.
