I posted a query in 1999 about my search for the parents of my gg grandfather, William Harrison Crawford who was born 1810-1813 in N.C. He was in 1840 Knox Co, TN census and married in Knox co in March 1933 to Elizabeth Barger. I had speculated that a Francis Crawford from Rutherford Co, N>C. was his father, but no proof. I have changed my email address since then to wadeneben2@aol.com. so decided to post this followup query. Hope someone can help me.

This is a great idea. I am researching William H. Crawford who married Elizabeth Barger in 1833 in Knox Co. Tn. They moved to Douglas County, MO bet. 1856 and 1860. I am having trouble finding his parents. I believe his father was Francis Crawford who was in Knox Co. in 1830. William named his first son after Elizabeth's father Frederick and the second son Francis Alexander. Would love to find proof of this. Any help appreciated.

In the early part of the 1900's, there was a book "Crawford Genealogy" published by WORLD CRAWFORD ASSOCIATION and NATIONAL CRAWFORD REUNION, by J. Montgomery Seaver of the American Historical- Genealogical Society, [etc.] of 1415 Montgomery Avenue, Philadelphia, PA . . . Is there any descended group doing a Crawford Association or Crawford Reunions?
