Comments:	William Curran was the son of Thomas and Wary (Wall) Curran of Ireland, whose children were Thomas, James, Patrick, John, Michael, William and Mary. William was born in 1838 and in 1857 started for America on the brig New World. He arrived in Caneadea, NY with his heroic partner Mary Flavin whom he married in 1856. Their children were: Thomas, Mary (Mrs. Robert Laffan children John and Robbie), John, married Belle Stevens, Kate (Mrs. Patrick Abernethy, child May), Ellen and James. Mr. Curran’s second wife was Mrs. Wary (Britt) Hanley, married in 1876, ,children Will, Peter, Alfred, Margaret, Arthur, Satie and Gertrude.
