My mother's maiden name was Dorris.
She grew up in Mac Donald County Missouri.
We are trying to trace our roots through her father, William Dorris, who is reportedly half or three quarters Cherokee Indian. He married Ursula Anne Shrum of Illinois circa 1869. They had three sons and one daughter.
Any information would be appreciated.
