I am doing Dowdall research Lanark county don't have own email just yet, this is my sons. My Dowdall's are from Bathurst and South Sherbrooke townships. have cross decendants from 2 sons of Samuel Dowdall and wife Mary Green. Samuel is listed from England Mary born Quebec don't know exact birth marriage or death dates. Samuel had several children 7 or more. My two sons John and James each had about 10 or 12 children most of whom seem to have lived to ripe old age with 10 or 12 children. I am trying to find all children, very hard to do as they didn't all stay in Ont. Several of grandchildren went west also names is also spelled Dowdell even though brothers etc. Also one son Richard converted to Catholic on marriage. Nice to know I'm not the only person frustrated with lost children.
