My grandfather was Louis Finkelstein a painting contractor for the lower east side who emigrated from Pinsk or Minsk to American after the American Civil War until 1870.

He married Asnah Finkelstein. They had several children. Only 1 male had children. His name was Harry or Morris. He lived in Brooklyn and was a house painter/contraction.

He married Fannie Milbauer Krautbaunch from Austria Hungarian town of Jablobov in 1906 when his wifed passed.

From this union, my father Jack (Jacob) was born, along with a brother Sam, Alice and Abe. He truncated his name to Fink in 1945.

He married Rose Spector.

They had 4 children: Barbara, Richard, Steven and Jesse
