Does anyone know where the "Whitaker District" was located in Harris County? My ggggg-grandfather is enumerated on the 1850 Federal Census for Harris County, GA. There is no mention of him or his wife on the 1860 census...I think he or they may be buried somewhere in Harris County, but I need to locate Whitaker. Can someone help?
