I am just beginning my Gilpin line, and I found out the Soundex Code (G415) for Gilpin and also, I found the origin of the Soundex Code. I divorced Louis Clayton Gilpin (born in Houston, 2-13-1932) in March, 1954. I am starting this Gilpin line for our son, Michael Bryan Gilpin (born in Tampa, Florida, 2-23-1952). I know that Louis Clayton Gilpin is the son of Louis Clay Gilpin, who was one of eleven sons born in Huntsville, Texas. Louis Clay would have been born about 1905. I believe that rootsweb.com will be very helpful for my research. Thank you.
