I am just starting to trace my family.
My father (Matthias) said that his Grandfather (John A.Goebel) came over with three of his brothers from Germany. They stayed together as far as Minneapolis MN. They split and went their own directions. My Grate Grandfather (John)I am not sure when this happened. Grandpa Matt Joesph Goebel was born Aug-14-1875 in Perry or Madison Done Co. Wis. He married Sybilla Overennbt. If any of this sounds like it could be part of your history let me know.

Having trouble learning how to use your site. I still need to learn how to put in a name so I get just that name and not an unrelated Charles or an unrelated Henry or an unrelated Goebel, when I want all three names "Charles Henry Goebel" in a location. Thanks. I'll just have to keep trying.
