Our Grove,A. W., was a son of Jared Welsh Grove and Rachel Gillespie; he was of 13 children born in Forest Co. Little
Hickory & Tionesta twps, between 1847 and 1871.
Jared and Rachel were born in Centre Co., Pa.
A. W. Grove was, I believe, a blacksmith/metal worker, and followed the emerging COAL industry. He ended up is Walker
Co., Goodsprings, Al., where he died 3/03/1913. He is my
g.grdad. He kind-a changed his name to Groves.
