It really interesting, but I sure wish that I would get lucky and be able to find something about my family. My mothers surname was Hemingway, she, her two brothers, John and Austin migrated here with their parents in about 1921 or 2, and I am having trouble finding out anything about the family. My grand fathers name was Willie Vernon Hemingway, and my grand mother was Lucy Hemingway,( Maden name Haywood. They moved here from Barnsley, Yorkshire. My grand father was a coal miner, and moved here for more and better work. This I don't understad, as both of my uncles were working in the mines when the were about twelve.
There are also some ties with The Family surname Allen and Haywood, but again, I am having trouble finding any thing with them either.
Any thing that any one has would be greatly appreciated.
