As far as I know there are very few Dilleys left but I would imagine tht some of the girls familys are still living there. Names include Fowler, Kershaw, Elmore, Dixon and Howell. My father was born in Martinsville and moved with his family at the age of 2 to california. His father Frank E. Dilley was the youngest son of Oliver C. Dilley. Would love to visit Martinsville and see the okd family homeplace!

I'm trying to research the ancestors of TRUMAN WEDDLE, and one source indicated he may have been born in Morgan County. I know he and his wife, MARY J. SPICER, were among the pioneer settlers of Brown County, Kansas, but I have nothing on either of them before that. They were both born in the early 1830's. I have portions of a letter written by JACK SPICER, who refers to his Spicer grandfather travelling from England (c.1800), to South Carolina, to Indiana; no first names or dates. He mentions an UNCLE GEAMES. Any clues, anyone?? Thanks, CJ
