My Great Grandfather was Cyrus E. Kidder ( See Wisconsin
Civil War soldiers ).
Cyrus lived in Wisconsin,Missouri,Idaho(Kidder's Ridge,ID)
and ended up living in Solano Co. CA

would someone lplease contact george n. kidder and tell him to wait on his publicastion of 1850-1900. i have valuable info ( purple heart, civil war portrait, honorable discharge)of benjamin hastings kidder (2nd Ill. Cav). we also have his civil war diary, written through vicksburg, etc.he, of 3 brothers.; my great great grandfather.i knew his son, when young, john paul kidder.i have trouble e-mailing georger, due to computer difficulties/lack of access.i believe i have much info from then on, and am only pereson in family with a genealogical interest. there i s fame in family..signed, david sherwood, p.o.box 1266, hollywood, ca., 90078, 11/7/05.

I am doing some research for my sister-in-law, Ada (Kidder) Leishman.

Her father was:
Milton Clinton "Polk" Kidder, b. 30 Oct 1894; d. 1971, Broken Bow, NE; bur. Eastern Star Cemetery, in Aline, Oklahoma.

His father was William Porter Kidder, b. ca. 1845, NY (along Lake Champlain); d. about 1917. He m. Mary E. Goodno, b. in NY. Other children b. to this couple were Charity, Will I, Rose and Maude. He was also a Civil War Veteran.

I am trying to find the lineage of William Porter Kidder.

I will appreciate any help.
