Found this site accidentally & love it, but I'm like a sponge & want MORE! Haven't been able to find what I'm looking for yet: WESTERN,(Riley, born Grottos/Grottoes VA or W VA late 1800s/passed away 1977/New Port Richey FL/lived in W. Carrollton OH previously till appx 1958, many siblings, one was Robert, also lived in W. Carrollton), BASHAW (Roseline,Roslyn,Rose/she always told me it was Roslyn Vyonne, but not sure of this, (father was Asa Bashaw)she was born in Frenchburg KY appx 1900) - found some Bashaw info, but not this one, my grandmother (married Riley Western, then Fred Thorman, then Al Griffitt, she passed away in Dayton OH, Dec 1964, 1 child with Riley, Constance Elaine, born in W. Carrollton, 1919-1999), GRESSNER, MORTON (father of Abby & grandfather of Abby's son, James W. Morton, & supposedly sheriff of Campbell County KY at one time). ANY info would be appreciated. How does one post a query on the Lincoln County Website?
Where is the Lincoln County Genealogical Society located?
My Great-grandfather, Oscar Smith, b.3-20-1865, Lincoln County, Ky, d.11-08-1888, Lincoln County, Ky married 12-24-1885 in Lincoln County, Ky to Mary "Mollie" Etta Terry b.2-03-1869, Lincoln County, Ky. They had one child, a daughter, Eva Oscar Smith, b. 12-02-1887, Lincoln County, Ky.
Oscar Smith was murdered and is buried in the McKinney Cemetery, McKinney, Ky.
Where do I go to look at the newspaper for that time?
I want to know is there was an article about his murder on November 8, 1888. I understand there is a Smith family genealogy report, where do I go to look at it?
