Did you know the first McIntosh to arrive in North America was William McIntosh who arrived in New England in 1651, which is confirmed by one of my Hard cover library books on Page 110 of a book called Brides from Bridewell by Walter Hart Blumenthal. This book which I have was later rewritten I beleive by Charles E. Tuttle in 1962, so you may still be able to view a copy in your library.

Duncan McIntosh (1788-1888) and his wife Ann Fraser (1785 -
1865) left Glenelg Inverness Scotland and came to Lancaster
Township, Glengarry County, Ontario in 1832. I am looking
for info re the vessel they made their 13 week voyage in and
details re their parents &/or siblings in Scotland. They
had their 8 children with them, Alexander (1817-1867),
Margaret, Grace, Annie, Margory and her twin Elizabeth (1818
- 1832), Duncan and Thomas. Glenn
P.S. I like what I see here at Rootsweb.
