Though ours is primarily about the descendants of Emma McLemore (b.1879 in Kentucky) and her husband, Layton Maddox (b. 1874 in Kentucky), we include ANY genealogical information that is related to Emma McLemore or Layton Maddox in any way whatsover.

At the Family History Page, found on your left, is information specific to McLemore's that we know are related to our family, back to the Mackelmore brothers who came to America in the 1600s. All message threads under
Family History are good places to find information, as info winds up everywhere.

Still plugging along trying to find out as much as I can on all McLemores born before 1865, and to connect them to the original immigrants, in the hope of publishing same next year. All help in this regard welcome, as well as all inquiries. Half of the job is finding out what McLemore ancestors are being researched and by whom, for once I can get up with them, we can (between the 2 of us) frequently identify the ancestor - I think I have already done so in several prominent cases this year. So E-mail me w/ your inquiry or info, and lets see if we can figure out how your ancestor fits in.
