I have been directed here by the RootsWeb TownSearch page, because I saw in an obituary: "Coldsprings Township, Kalkaska, Mich." & I wondered where Kalkaska, MI, could be.
Well, I found out that Kalkaska is in Kalkaska County in Michigan; but does that necessarily mean that THAT is what the obituary means? Or is it just referring to Kalkaska County, MI?
AND . . . IS Coldsprings Township IN Kalkaska County (maybe this is obvious?); BUT, is Kalkaska actually IN Coldsprings Township?
It is too bad that there is no township-map for Kalkaska County.
Thanks for any help - :-) Jeannie

Somewhere in my life I have ended up with a lovely photograph of
Florence M. Wood, Kalkaska, Mich. Aug. 26, 1911
I sent it to the Historical Societ y (in Lansing?) and they sent it back saying it doesn't fit their collection.
Would ANY group, museum, archives in Kalkaska be interested in this photograph?|
Please let me know and I'll mail it.

I love Kalkaska. It is a great city and a great place to raise a family. I visited Kalkaska and met some good quality friends there. KALKASKA 4 EVER!
