I am searching for someone to look up in the local Library
"wilkes Family History and Genealogy by Ivan Earnest Bass
1965.
My cousin that just passed away in Meridian had a copy but we never made contact for the pages I need.I have
a zerox of the Banks family part of the book except the last four or five pages.
I would be forever grateful if someone would see if they can find these pages and e-mail them to me.
I was a cousin to Elizabeth McGlothlin.

Yes, I do like Rootsweb, only I do not see too much about Alabama, especially about blacks and Indians, and I was wondering why, has the internet gone discriminatory also? My name is McElroy, I find nothing on my father Willie McElroy, or my grandfather Brown McElroy, nor my grandmother, Eliza Camaok McElroy(Cherokee).I can't find them in the Social Security Death Index Master File, and they all died in the 1940's.This seem very strange to me.I thought Social Security kept recors of all who died, whether they were issued a social security number or not.Can you help me find out about these family mmbers? Thanks for any information you may have.

Have just happened upon your website, and am looking forward to browsing it from cover to cover. My great grandparents, Constantine & Margaret (Bragg) Rea were residents in Marion prior to the War Between the States, and he is buried in your county - somewhere! Died in 1864 of wounds received in Georgia Canpaign. Have corresponded with many of your residents, and now hope to acquire further contacts. Thanks for the opportunity.
