My husband's g.grandmother was Elizabeth Ann Bickford born 1823, who was transported to Australia in 1844. She married Thomas Myers in 1847 at Hobart Tasmania. They had six children. Thomas Myers was already in Tasmania in 1823 and he gave his place of birth as London. His age is dificult to establish but my guess is he was born circa 1800. I'm looking for any English connections.

Sorry this is not comments, it is a plea for H E L P
I just glanced at the Myers page. A few did ask for help. So I am hoping that some help will be able to come my way. There is only three things I know about my Myers:
His full name given on my Great - Grand Mothers death cert. is that it is John Myers. The second thing I know (from the same source) he is from France. The last thing I know about my Great - Great Grandfather is that he married a lady Jerrave Pope and she is from Switzerland. My Great Grand Mother died at the age of 38 , in 1908 which meant that she would have been born about 1870. Also on the death cert. it was stated that her birth place is listed at (exact) " Birthplace (State or country) Near Flatbush N.Y. " I have checked out "Flatbush N.Y. and found that THERE IS TWO OF THEM. So any help would be greatfully taken Thanks in advance purple@sover.net

I'm a total novice here, and having trouble designing a path of inquiry. The number and extent of resources is impressive.

Hi, just researching. Great fun. Am looking for anyone with connections to or info on James and Elizabeth (BLUNDELL??) MYERS who lived at 204 Commercial Rd, St Geo in the East, E. London, England during the 1881 census. Children recorded at that time were: John, Annie E, Frederick James & Frank. Frederick and Frank (I think) came to NZ. James was born approx 1850 in Aldgate, E. Lond, UK. Would love to hear from you. Rgdz from NZ. Trish.

As a descendant of Irvin Ellsworth MYERS, I am very pleased to see this MYERS resource page set up for the MYERS surname. I especially like this guestbook, and plan to make use of the calendar. Good idea!
