Our branch though originally from Norway, ( a long way back ), have been settled in the Angus area of Scotland For a good couple of hundred years.
Branches sread out to places like Ballinluig, where they were blacksmiths, and married and indeed joined forces with the Thomson family.
The main branch stayed around the Aylth arae where they farmed the local land.
There are now only two strains of us making our way now, due to the recent death of our father John Martin Nicoll (Nick or Iain locally), my elder brother David John Nicoll in Edinburgh, and myself in Glasgow.
