I am researching the African American Colony at Mt. Vernon, AR. Boyd Nix is the last living survivor of this colony, which settled in White County, AR after the Civil War. His fathe's name was Alford J. Nix. He married Booney Clemons' daughter, Versie around 1929. Boyd Nix is now 86 years of age.
