I love your site and keep the great works up.
also I would like to post the following.
My name at birth was Dave Midge Burlingame borned on 11/30/57 in Cuba NY.My mother's name is Frances Alberta Burlingame, her sister's name is Forence Wightman Baines. My sister's name was Debra marie Barrett at birth. I was told we lived in Shinglehouse at one point and that the house we lived in was destroyed by fire and all photos and birth certificates of mine and my sisters were also destroyed.
I've made an exstensive search for anything related to Shinglehouse fires with farmhouses, nothing.I've lost contact with my birth mother 3 yrs ago.
Florence Wightman Baines married a guy named Bill, they had two daughters Kathrine Lee Wightman Gross,NC;Jacalyn Dee Wightman Baker of PA.
Searching for my birth father for medical reasons.
Thank you so much.Sorry for posting this all in here.

I would very much like to see list of names of people buried in the Maple Lawn Cemetary in Bolivar NY I know a Charlie Barrett is very active in genealogy for the area. He provides a fine service for the Community. I would also be wonderful to post all past issues of the Bolivar Breeze now defunct in Bolivar NY. This is an enormous task with expense and man hours involved. I think the Bolivar Breeze is on micro-film at the Bolivar Free Library. Betty Cornelius is a first rate Librarian at the Library and as a former teacher is a wonderful source of information for the small Village of Bolivar. The Community is indeed fortunate to have such a person in its midst. Jane Dillie BCS Class of 1954

I'm looking for Ann (possibily Polly Ann) Sterling & Simon E.Williams. The 1850 census shows them in Clarksville. My great-grandmother was born in Angelica on 13 December 1833.

At least that is the direction my information my research has taken me so far. I'm working on Primary sources to verify all of this before I hang my hat on it. They may have been Roman Catholic & as such the marriage may be in parish records there. Is there a Catholic church that has records back that far?

I would like to see a map of the area in Allegany Co. that includes Butternut Brook Road. I think my Grandmother, Bertha Linnea Swanson Peterson Williams, lived on The Butternut Brook Farm around 1900-1911. How can I find out the history of the people living in that area and some connection to her family. Thank-you I'm a newbie.

Just dropped in for the first time while surfing Allegany County FCU's! Was very suprised and pleased to find the site.
Am just beginning my geneological quest and this certainly will be a great place to start! I want to tell you that I appreciate the work done on the Watson Family in the Black Creek Cemetery....because I picked up an additional name that I don't think my parents, aunt, etc. knew about (for some reason).

Keep up the good work!

Ray Watson
