Comments:	My father was born in Oneonta Feb 14, 1889. Not sure of his birth surname: maybe William McKirley. He changed his surname to Fitzgerald in 1893 probably without any legal documents. His mother Frances Theresa Corr had relatives who worked on the railroad there. When she married Nicholas Fitzgerald in Troy, NY they changed her son's name of William Anthony Fitzgerald. We have a register #919/1889 and a District #3801 written down and hope it helps locate his birth certificate and his and his father's real name.
