I am still seeking any info. regarding a James Patrick O'Connor who came to California form, I believe, West Virginia in the late 20's to early 30's and settled in the Stockton Ca. area. He was a civil engineer and, I'm told, workd on the first Cent. CAl canal project. He met my mother, Vastelle Wilsford, from Lawrenceburg, TN, in 1933. She was working in a packing shed in the Stockton area at the time. I never knew this man, my mother would never talk to me about him, nor would any of my relatives. I'd appreciated hearing from anyone who might have some idea about James Patrick O'Connor.
