Hello. I have visited your site as part of my "Run Across the Internet". I am attempting to visit 10,000 sites in 100 days in order to raise awareness of Ankylosing Spondylitis, a chronic degenerative rheumatic disease that affects the spine and neck, often making the joints and vertbrae stiffen and fuse together.
People with AS often have chronic pain and gradually lose flexibility and range of motion in their joints until they can not turn their heads or bend their backs. It's like being in a straight jacket for the entire rest of your life.
To learn more, please visit the Spondylitis Association: http://www.StopAS.org or the Spondyville Support Group: http://www.spondyville.com

Some questions need background facts to proceed on with a person's search for their family roots. I'm having some difficulty trying to see what site will bring me more facts-that will help connect me to my relatives;you usually start with yourself, and then go backwards. Most people I know, have some information on their parents and grandparents, but not all grandparents, especially if they are of old fashion ways, not necessarily negative trait mind you, think they the past is better left in the past. So not all of us are so fortunate to have births, places, or much information about our great-grandparents. Or for some reason there may be grudges in some family members line, that means over time and habit of non-communication over the years gives way to deteriation of our memories: be it ourselves, or our forefather's relationships. To help bridge the gap; there must be some form of communication of the friendly sort..that is if we want family connection, and or information.."It's called give and take". You give information, and get some in return. How can web-site like yours help; first by refering someone to another web-site that can help if you can't. Sometimes a person has to look upteen places, before they get one clue for one person they are researching, ya know..how depressing that can be if it takes a long time. However, I am not the kind of person to give up, so I help on the message boards,if there is one, and I find a slight connection or question, I'll usually ask if I feel its a good longshot to making the connection. It's all about "connections" isn't it! We are all in this together, money or no money rewards. Helping another is where it's at. Forget the accuracy of spelling names, that's always unknown really?? (name spelling changes for whatever reasons in any family tree). I say let's forget the money issue, and make a little if you want, but understand this is like having a baby, or trying to get pregnant.."finding family roots" is finding someone who already exist, whether he be alive or dead. Actually, it's very exciting to help, more exciting if you find out you not only have a web-site buddy, but a true relative in the real blood-line sense. "What wonders will we find just around the river bend", I say.........love it, good luck helping other's, cause it seems to always be a long process no matter how short or long you look at it;and "God........speed.......",please deliver good information and good news for these are living people with true feelings, looking for a connection of heart and soul...That's what you are doing.Providing services; of the heart, even if it's on computer..real things are happening, and so I'll keep on searching all the web-sites. I think there should be a list or a BBB of genealogy. Is there such a thing, or should I say site?? Saves time, and then again, maybe I would meet the people I meet.(more people doing the research for other's without web-site doing them). Experience is the best teacher they say..enough said.
Love your butterflies that follow me everywhere I go. Your site should ideally help people go wherever they need to go!
....a suggestion... Thanks, for the opportunity to vent my views.(not necessarily those of this web-site, right?)
"the object is help, help, help as much as you can-be a researcher, yourselves, which you are...........L.Boucher

I have been using resources of Rootsweb for about a year
and I think it is a wonderful organization. I hope to be able to contribute as a member soon. Meanwhile I have been
transcribing 1850 Dallas Co. Ark., slowly because of age and health.
