My great-grandfather, Columbus Allen Jenkins, died at Henryetta May 4, 1904 and is said to have been buried in an Indian cemetery. A family member learned that the cemetery is now on private property without access. Can anyone help with information on this cemetery? Thanks.

I just stumbled onto this site, I was taken back to my childhood summers spent in Schulter, Henryetta, and Okmulgee. I still have kin in each town, and visit sort of regular. My kin were the Tourrets, Neet's, and Martindale. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Don in Michigan

This county is my home. My parents were Raymong Millroy & Retha Lorraine Pruitt Pickard. My husband was Larry Crawford, son of M. T. (Buck) & Mildred Harrison Crawford. I am so glad to find this webpage, because I now live in Florida.

I Graduated from High School at Beggs. Some of you masy remember Senator Hammonds from the 1940's. I made speaches for him when he ran for office, and later for Robert S. Kerr when he ran for Governor. I made a speach at the Orpheum Theatre in Okmulgee when I was l3 yrs. old. Senator Jack Nichols introduced me and I introduced Bob Kerr, who later became Governor and then U.S. Senator of Oklahoma. I had an uncle, Baily Elliott, who lived in Okmulgee many years. My Mother, Maizelle Brown Boyles taught school in Okmulgee County for many years and retired at Mounds, in Creek County.
