Great site. I'm trying to find any information on my grandfather's ancestors (Henry Mulnix of South Connellsville) in Fayette County. It's an unusual surname and I am not getting anywhere fast. Any information would be appreciated!

My wife is from Brownsville and we live in California. I am trying to look up information on her family for historical/genealogical purposes but I am unable to find much for that part of the country regarding deaths. Name: Charlotte (Rankin) Thompson <leeboyct@aol.com> Date: 2000-07-18 Comments:
First I would like to say Thank You a bunch. I really thought Rankin was an unusual name. Boy was I wrong.
My Great Grandfather was Alexander and Nancy Rankin. My grandfather was John Henry Rankin.
I am trying to find something about Alexander's father and grandfather.
I know that Alexander's father and mother were John and Margaret Ritenour Rankin. I know that John's father was named Alexander and he arrived from Ireland about 1789 or 1790, and he lived in Hagerstown, MD before arriving in Fayette county.
If anyone knows more I would appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Charlotte Thompson
