It seems no one has visited this site since last year, 2001, so I wonder what its value is? I am trying to loate my grandfather Harry Rowe, who lived in Monessen in 1914/5,he would be about 32 yrs old then. He had a garage on 618 Mckee Ave specialising in magneto's and carburetors. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. He also spent some time in the Charleroi hospital, for what I don't know.I am in UK so its not easy to find things out.

I think the Roots Web is a great idea. I would be very happy if I could find any information at all about my family. My Grandfather Harry Robert Harris was born (?) 9 Nov 1879 at Jamison 20 (Pleasant Unity ?). He married my Grandmother on 17 Jan 1901 in Greendburg PA. I think she passed away in 1913. My G Grandfather was George Harris. He was supposed to have lived in the same area. No other info. My G Grandmother was a Rachael (Rachel), unknown Maiden Name. My Grandmother's maiden name was Clara Rohrer born at Sharpsburg, Washington Co, MD 23 Mar 1882. Any infor would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

I am researching my mothers family, Bollerhey. Her great grandfather "John Conrad Bollerhey" lived and died in Waterford Pa. He and his wife are buried in Green Mountain Cemetery according to memories. Any suggestions or assistance you can give are appreciated. I live in New Bern

Hi, I have a site with EVERY NAME indexes of Pennsylvania Room books including Local Histories, Magazines before 1910, etc. More than a thousand surnames!They include Monongahela Valley - a pictorial directory Every Name Index,New Kensington - 1700's to 1906,Rostraver 1745-1900,a diary of names from Swissvale,Allegheny Co. 1933,and Harpers Bazaar 1900. I also have township information,Library information etc.
