Both are buried at Bethany Church Cemetery, Windsor, Ill. Enoch was a great grandson of Robert Morris, who signed the Declaration of Independence. He served as a volunteer in the Mexican war."
I am the great grandson of Enoch Canada Morris and Lydia Etter. I have recently visited their grave site and have lots of information, especially about the lineage from their son, John Will Morris (my grandfather) onward. If you are interested in this informaiton, let me know and I will forward it to you.
I have been trying unsuccessfully to establish the link between Enoch Canada Morris and Robert Morris. Do you or anyone in your family have any documentation for the claim of his heritage made in your family book or web site? If so, I would appreciate learning of any source material you may possess. I have Enoch's death certificate, and it lists his parents as "unknown". All I have been able to find to date are anecdotal pieces (your web site and book, a newspaper item that state his relationship to Robert Morris, etc.).

I havent seen any Peffley news on the web latley. Did I get kicked off? My great grandmother was Catherine Peffley Alwine b. 17 Dec. 1839 d. 8 Dec.1904 in Ind. I really did like the news and comments from the family.
