Hello I've been researching the Sauve name for three years.The soundex names you have listed do not fit the name variations I've found in my research.So far I can list about 25 English and 7 French variations.All can be found in census doc from Canada and the USA.
I'll list the ones I've found.Some are obvious and some are not.
Sauve,Sauve',Sauvi,Sauvie,Sauvey,Sauvee,Sovey,Sovy,Sovie,
Sova,Soffa,Soffea,Sophey,Sophie,Sovay,Saive,Savie,Souve,
Souvey.
I have a few more but cann't find the rest of my list right now.If you'd like I can send the rest later.
