My maternal grandparents were John and Loretta (Schaffer)Schindler. My grandfather was born and lived his entire life in Canton, Ohio. I would love to hear from anyone who has any information on my grandfather's family.

My mother's maiden name is Schindler. Other family surnames include Stuber, Snyder, Sommer, Layman. My mother was born in Valley Falls, KS. Many members of her family are buried there. On a visit to St. Joseph, MO where my mother went to H.S. I visited the United Church of Christ in Cosbey, MO where I discovered about half the congregation were second cousins. My grandmother, Stuber, was born near this church. I have a Schindler family tree done my my Uncle Russel going back to the original imigrants from Bern Canton. When I have time I will pursue this.
