beginning research into Scoggins family in Athens, Ga. area, my mother Ruby Leona Scoggins was the last of James Marganius Scoggins & Mary Elizabeth nee Patton, children. J. M. remarried and sired more children. There were 9 left in that when M. L. died in 1909. Remember some of the Patton family from Point Peter, Ga.

My Mother was born Vera Reve' Scoggin. Father: George Lawson Scoggin..his father Rufus Webster Scoggin...his father: Lawson David Scoggin. I would appreciate all that is avaliable about the Scoggin Family...also Rufus Webster Scoggin was born James R. W. Scoggin on 7 Sept 1856 in Ola, Yell County, Arkansas.

Have you seen any of them from there? I'm looking to find out abou tmy family history. If ya can help that would be awesome.
