Just a simple question. My mother, father and I were at the local LDS Family History Center and were looking up census information we had requested for Lake County, S. D.
On the 1910 Census, for marital status, usually, you would have a choice of (M)arried or (S)ingle. We found my mother's grandfather in the 1910 Census as M2 and his wife, M1. Does this mean he had a previous marriage and this was his second wife?.....Thanks, Janette
