I have just started my family history search. I would be looking for information on Shumaker in Pennsylvania. My grandfather was born (as he said) in Macon County, PA. I have not been able to trace that area. Any information would be appreciated.

My maiden Name is Shumaker my dads family is from Fulks Run Va.My dad was Gifford Charles Shumaker.he had 5 other siblings .His parents were Sara ella maiden name Ritchie.My grandpa was Woddy Shumaker.One part of the family spells the name Shoemakerdue to a family disagreement .
