I am looking for information about my grandfather. He came from Germany sometime in the late 1800's. He married my grandmother whose maiden name was Hacker and was from Kansas.

Rootsweb is great but I haven't found any information for my
search on Marshall Steger, there. Very little info on blacks
even tho they did a lot of work developing the country. All
my research seems to prove that they did. Marshall Steger,
a fair skin black, achieved great things during that time.
His wife, Fannie nee Carter, was a black school teacher in
O.T.(1890's) Teaching Certificate. His Great Grandparents were
descentants of Charles The Great,Charlmagne
