Hi!
I've just started looking into my family history. My father is Arthur Joseph Thorpe, born 4 February 1917 in Walsall, West Midlands (UK). His father was Joseph Thorpe, born 1882 (?). Three of his relatives were 'sent' to Philadelphia, America around 1900 (?) - these were two girls and a boy, I believe the boy was returned to England at a later date. Nice to think we probably have some relatives on American soil!
