Fantastic Site. I actually found data on my first visit I have been looking for for several years. I was impressed with your data on the Cherokee Indian tribes. It is a well done E-mail site.

I'M NOT SURE HOW TO SEARCH. I HAVE A LETTER DATED OCT. 12TH, 1840 STATE OF TENNESSEE, MONROE COUNTY TO DR. JAMES SNIDER IN MISSOURI FROM GEORGE SNIDER IN MONROE COUNTY TENNESSEE. THERE IS MENTION OF HOPEWELL BAPTIST CHURCH IN MONROE COUNTY WITH THE SNIDER CLAN BEING PART OF IT'S ORGANIZATION. GEORGE SNIDER WAS THE GRANDFATHER OF MY GRANDMOTHER THELMA SNIDER WHO MARRIED MINNUS MOSESE. HOW DO I LOCATE FAMILY RECORDS OF THE 1840'S AND SUCH? THANK YOU. CYDNEY HORN

I just discovered the Monroe County Home Page. I was born and raised in Coker Creek, daughter of Edward Frank Brannon and Ada Shell. We moved to North Carolina in 1974. I am in the process of finding my roots and finding the Monroe County Home Page has helped more than I can say. Thanks.
