Nice webpage ; i am doing genealogy research on the surnames : Conwell and Conwill related to : Lloyd Newton Conwill born 28 April 1899 in possibly wylie , collin county texas. He was the son of the baptist Reverand / Minister : W.H. Conwill - William Henry Conwill born 21 January 1861 in itawamba county Mississippi. W.H. Conwill was married to M.I. Nelson. The Rev. W.H. Conwill died 1913 in Iowa Park - Wichita County Texas. He had a lot of children : Is there any information about possible relatives / cousins / etc possibly in Grayson County . I do not know for certain if there are any connections but i may have read some where something with the Grason or grayson County Texas and Wylie- Collin county Texas and Dallas county Texas connected to Lloyd Newton Conwill ; Lloyd died 29 January 1951 in Mckinney Texas. He was buried in Tahoka Texas. He was married twice. His second wife was Minnie Leota Burns. Her maiden name was : Freeman. Lloyds first wife was : Carrie Limerick from Virginia.Carrie died 1939 in Virginia. Lloyd and Minnie married 1940 in Tahoka Texas.Minnie died abt. 1985 in Tahoka Texas. One of Lloyds children was my father : John Newton Conwill also known as John Newton Conwell. John was born 1925 in Fredericksburg Virginia. He died as John Newton Conwell - December 1999 in Ohio. John was married twice. Message posted August 2005.

Checking on any possible cemetery or death records for a ADLER MERIWETHER ( spelling may differ ) who may have died in Grayson CO, between 1904 and 1909. Found a mention of my G Grandfather, CHESTERFIELD MARION KEITH (C.M.KEITH) may have lived in the Whitesboro area during that time and Adler may have been living with him.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and would solve another mystery of what happened to Adler, who was missing from the 1910 census.
Thanks, Jim Keith, St. Louis

Hi,
I received some info that my family might have been in the Whitesboro area in 1906. They traveled from Muskogee Co, OK to Seymour, TX......but it appears they may have stayed in Whitesboro for a time. A small boy, about 10 years old was alive in 1904...in OK and not in the 1910 TX census with the rest of the family. I am wondering, maybe he passed away in Grayson Co. His name was ADLER MERIWETHER.....are there any GRAYSON CO. CEMETERY books that might have his name ?
Thanks so much,
Jim Keith

Why when I click on "Grayson County Texas Genealogy" at the top of your main page does it always take me to a "dead page". If you try to go forard (clicking "Parent Index") you are sent to Roots Web Main Page and the only other option is to go back to the original page.

I am looking for Robert McCarty who was buried in Denison about 1923-1925. As we understand, he was invoilved in some shootings in Arlington shortly before his death. He is my husband's grandfather. They never met as he died before my husband was born. Bill was raised by his mother and stepfather. He had very little contact wtih his father until the past few years. But, he also is dead. Bill is an only child and has never had any relatives with his own last name. He is interested in finding out about his family history. If you cannot help us find Robert McCarty, can you help us with the names of the cemetaries in Denison.
Thank you so very much for your help.
