Greetings,
I am a descendant of Dr. G.W. Griggs and C.E. Jackson Griggs who came to the Evant area (and lived in Hamilton County on their "Old Home Place" on Cow House Creek) in the 1870's or so. I have a book by their son Robert S. Griggs 'online' at my website at http://sketches.casey-genealogy.com and have a Griggs page at http://griggs.casey-genealogy.com .
Please visit and share any knowledge you may have of this family. I descend from their daughter Hester Chappell Griggs (1880-1920) who married E.V. Altman, son of James Thomas Altman and Liffie Smith Altman, who lived in Evant in 1900.
Thanks!
David L. Casey

I like this site. It is very useful for locating relatives.
I have quite a number of relatives in the Hamilton and Comanche
County areas. My mother was rased in the Energy Community. Her
maiden was McGlothlin.
Thanks,

Hamilton County gave land to the formation of Mills County, therefore, lots of our Mills County Ancestors were living in Hamilton for a period. The German Americans located in the north - north west part of Mills County has relations in the neighboring towns in Hamilton County. Be sure to take time to visit Mills County if you are looking in this area.
