I am researching John Daniel Fisher and his family. He was married to Emmaline Lee in Kerr County on 24 AUG 1889. Both are buried in Brady. John Daniel Fisher's father is listed as John Fisher from Louisiana and his mother is Elizabeth Jones. I believe the Fisher family were longtime residents of Brady. I would appreciate any info!

Just have read the Website on Calf Creek. My husband was borned at Tucker Texas, Oct 14 1914. It was known as Tucker, Texas. He started to school there. He has told quite a few stories about Calf Creek. His Mother and Father are
buried there. They were Billington Wiley and Amanda Alice Cude. On her Head marker they put M.A. Cude which was an error. The reason for that was because everyone called her Mandy instead of Amanda. Will write more next time.

A direct quote from "Standard-Times" newspaper, Alpine, TX: "They tell the story that John F. Lane "escaped" from oil for more than a half century just as he escaped from the Indians in San Saba County almost 80 years ago." John Lane was born 22 Feb. 1867, San Saba County. I was doing some research on my wife's family, the Kirklins, who came from Brady. I found her grandfather, great-grandparents, and great-uncle in the Camp San Saba Cemetery list. Very good web page. My family of Fulcher that lived in
Brady were Nathaniel Fulcher and his brother H. C. Fulcher
GG-Father Nathaniel is buried in Christoval. The Fulcher
families came to Brady from Little River (near Temple).
Nathaniel's daughter married my G-Father Ruben Wesley
Rogers of Pidcoke Texas and they lived in Christoval until
my GG-Grandmother Mary Fulcher Rogers died in 1925.
